The BOHEMIA team presented final results to the WHO, demonstrating the efficacy of mass administration of ivermectin as a complementary malaria vector control tool. Findings were shared at scientific conferences, with national malaria program leaders, generics manufacturers, and peers at the Ivermectin Research for Malaria Elimination Network (IVERMEN). The follow-up of women who became pregnant after receiving ivermectin was completed, and is now providing critical safety data. A total of 32 manuscripts are planned for publication, with 11 already published or accepted.

The Mission Malaria Exhibition, developed by ISGlobal, was hosted by Madrid’s National Museum of Natural Sciences between March and September, 2024. Featuring over 150 objects and extensive iconography, the exhibition explored how malaria has been understood, prevented and cured over the centuries, uncovering unexpected connections across medicine, research, politics and public health.

MESA, the Malaria Knowledge Hub launched a new, enhanced website to promote knowledge sharing and collective learning. The MESA track database added 1,580 research projects with links to their main outcomes. The team completed a landscape analysis on Malaria Molecular Surveillance and fostered a Community of Practice on parasites that have become undetectable to rapid diagnostic tests. MESA also supported WHO policies on Malaria Elimination and Prevention of Reintroduction, leading four systematic reviews published in 2024.

The ADAM project, following a successful pilot in Chidenguele, Mozambique, developed an Implementation Manual for Mass Drug Administration (MDA) to support the National Malaria Control Program. Additional materials covered drug supply planning, community engagement, training for supervisors and field workers, delivery strategies, and monitoring of implementation outcomes and impact. In June 2024, the pilot implementation of reactive Focal Drug Administration (rFDA) in Matutuine was completed, with similar materials developed to support its scale-up.
